Songwriting to Heal

David and his wife Anna Grace lead songwriting workshops inside prisons alongside fellow songwriters who now comprise the Beyond Bars Collective. Twelve programs at Walton Correctional Institution with the Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County, FL and 150+ graduate songwriters later, the proof is in the songs. Music written by Beyond Bars writers arrives in early 2027.

Offstage he teaches songwriting inside prisons with Beyond Bars and writes songs with veterans with Creativets. Onstage, solo or with his wife Anna Grace, he brings those stories home.
