BIOGRAPHY
My name is David Borné and my life is a living testament to the healing power of songs. Now my first dream was not songs…. No my first dream was actually to be an NBA basketball player. The problem with this dream was that nobody told me how slow and white I was and if they did I didn’t listen….so I was inevitably cut from the basketball team after my freshman year of high school. As that dreamed closed, another opened when around that time my sister Rebecca, 7 years older than me to the day of my birth on the 21st morning of December 1983, taught me 3 chords on her guitar by teaching me “Closer To Fine” by The Indigo Girls. Then I basically stole her guitar, then she got me my own for Christmas Over the next two years I spent every free moment learning every song I loved from guitar tabs online(pre-youtube have you) on my dad’s computer in his “study”, as well as writing my first few songs about all of the girlfriends I didn’t have as a lonely and uncool feeling acne faced highschooler. Junior year I had reconnected with some old middle school friends and was finally cool enough to be invited to a party…at that party was a guitar in an empty room which in my social anxiety I ran to. A few minutes later a partygoer walked by as I was playing and asked “hey, you know any songs?”….and was like “yeah I know a few,”…but really I knew them all. Counting Crows, Nirvana, Tom Petty, Songs that were by best friends at I time I didn’t feel like I had many…30 minutes late the entire party was in the room and I was taking requests in my new role as the center of attention. Female classmates were talking to me for the first time in 2 years. It was the day David Borné the performer was born. Before this day, I was David Borné pure former, my love for songs unattached to this dopamine enducing all eyes on me performer with the guitar at the corner of the party, restaurant, bar, venue, to the guy at the corner of the bar to the guy in the band at the venue to the guy they came to

- Americana UK
“A small listening room is a crucible for a performer—there’s nowhere to hide. You have to be a great musician, songwriter, singer and storyteller, and David Borné is all of those things in spades. He absolutely owned the Acoustic Lounge. Our audience loved him, we immediately wanted him back”
-Gene McGee, Promoter
“Somewhere between a concert, a memoir, and a Sunday Sermon that doesn’t ask you to believe in anything in particular”
